Adobe Camera Raw is a powerful RAW conversion plug-in for Photoshop and Lightroom but also works with other Adobe Creative Suite applications that allows access to “raw” image formats produced by a wide variety of professional and mid-range digital cameras.
Adobe Camera Raw enables you to edit “digital negatives” within Photoshop in a non destructive way, all your adjustments are kept outside the file in a XMP sidecar file. This plug-in is a must have tool for any professional photographers working with RAW images either in Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw inside Photoshop.

The newest feature in ACR is the support for the Universal RAW format named Digital Negative (DNG), a raw file format made available to the public by Adobe. Converting your files to DNG is essential for archiving your raw files as well as opening them on other computers without support for your specific raw format. Adobe Camera Raw 6.6 is compatible with the latest versions of Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Adobe Premiere Elements, After Effects and Adobe Bridge. it is not backwards compatible with Photoshop CS4.

Adobe Camera Raw 6.6 is licensed as Freeware. Adobe Camera Raw is provided as a free download for all software users (Freeware). For ACR 6.6 installation you will need admin rights.

 JPG file appears to be unsupported or damaged
 ACR 6.5 clicking ―Choose target folder button makes APD frozen (Mac only)
 Lightroom crashes when saving keyword to file
 Fuji S200 rendering highlights with green cast
 Crash using local adjustment brush with automask on with attached image
 Scrolling too fast when using the trackpad
 Snapshops don’t reset when in local corrections only with global corrections
 Fixed issue red eye reduction for images converted to B & W.
 Fixed issue with overcorrection of vignette.
 Fixed issue with color noise reduction at extreme color temperatures.
 Fixed issue with noise reduction when using local exposure adjustment.

 

Camera Raw 7.1 Update CS6

This new version of the Camera Raw plug-in replaces the original Camera Raw plug-in that was installed with Adobe® Creative Suite® 6, Adobe Photoshop® CS6.

Support for the following cameras has been added in this update. Visit the Camera Raw page for a complete list of supported cameras.

The Camera Raw 7.1 plug-in is not compatible with versions of Photoshop earlier than Photoshop CS6.
